Plymouth Electron Microscopy Centre (PEMC) is pleased to be hosting the next Torbay Hi Tech Forum on campus on Friday 25 May, 09.30 – 11.30, featuring examples of how members (photonics and LED manufacturers) have already made use of the new focused ion beam, scanning electron microscope (FIB-SEM), funded by ERDF, through the Plymouth Materials Characterisation Project.

The event is open to all companies who are interested in finding out how they could use the FIB-SEM to support new product development or simply gain a better understanding of their materials or components - but will especially relevant to those in the micro-electronics and photonics sectors. There will also be an update from Innovate UK on funding opportunities.

Torbay Hi-Tech Forum is home to leading hi-tech and advanced manufacturing businesses. It is a collective membership group, which meets bi-monthly, dedicated to industry-led development, collaboration and promotion of the sector within the south west. Anyone wishing to join the event on the 25th, should register their interest with Dan Newman of the TDA by Wednesday 23 May:
