The University of Plymouth has successfully secured KTP funding and delivered more than 200 projects over the past 30 years. KTP brings together a university and businesses to deliver a strategically important project, resulting in an innovative new product or process.
The average KTP costs £75,000 per year, with SMEs generally contributing £25,000 supported by Innovate UK grant funding. This includes paying a KTP Associate, a graduate who works in the business full time to deliver the project. Typically, KTP projects can be from 12 - 36 months with specific focus on developing Emerging / Enabling Technologies, Infrastructure Systems , Manufacturing & Materials and Health & Life Sciences.
